If your a weekend tournament angler the author really captures what its all about. I really enjoyed the inner dialogue of the main character. If you fish tournaments you will definately chuckle as he reveals his inner thoughts. This is a fun easy read.
Liked the details incorporated in the writing. Author, obviously knows his bass fishing. Book gave me pause to reflect on my own fishing

Whether you've fished once in your life, or you enjoy regular trips to the lake, each chapter in Personal Best is filled with discussion points that anyone who has wanted to do their best can relate to. The characters are very charismatic and the plot will draw you in immediately! I've purchased multiple copies for the school-aged children in my life, so that they are able to enjoy an inspiring ride with William Buckner (main character).
I loved this book. His thoughts when he is on the water, and the way he questions everything, is the same way I think - so this book really helped me a lot and I felt like I was reading a book about me.
