This is not the first book of Terrall's poems I've purchased! Terrall has a unique way with words that makes me smile, enjoy myself, and often think! This latest collection (with a few stories included as a bonus) didn't disappoint. The title alone gives the reader an idea of the fun that's in store. The poem, "Frog" has the following amusing lines: Something is definitely amiss....I need a kiss....I am a prince.Also, having lived in the tropics, I was excited to see the poem, "The Insect Hotel." And then of course, there is the poem this book is named after, "Granny's on the ceiling." The quilt-like illustrations are fun, too.

"Granny's On The Ceiling" was such a great book!
It was really amusing and fun to read.
The random yet beautiful prose reminded, for some reason, of the fantasyland of being a little kid again.
If you want to take a walk down memory lane and delve into the weird and wonderful world of a child, I would highly recommend checking out this book.
It will made my day, and I'm sure it will do the same for you.

I took a chance with this collection of poetry because the cover caught my eye. I must admit that I haven't read a lot of poetry, but Terrall's mastery of the funny bone had me in stitches as I read through these.
Laughter truly is the best medicine, as they say, so read this for yourself or read it to your kids. This really is great for everyone and you'll all be laughing and giggling in no time at all. A fun change from some of the heavy poetry I was given to read back in school. Granted, some of these are pretty bizarre, but they sure are fun.
The accompanying illustration for each poem are fun to look at too, as each one conveys the essence of the rhyme.
Highly recommended. Forget that this is poetry and reconnect with your inner silly child!
